What is Micro TESE (Detection of Sperm from Testis Under Microscope)?

Micro Tese; is the name given to the search of sperm cells from tissue by taking microscopic samples from testicular tissue under general anesthesia in people who have no sperm cells.
One of the causes of male infertility (infertility) is that there is no sperm in the semen.

There are several reasons for the absence of sperm cells in the semen. The absence of congenital sperm ducts or congestion, some hormonal or genetic factors, radiation exposure, some drugs used and some of the reasons that prevent the formation of sperm infection may be passed.

What is Micro TESE?

What are the advantages of Micro TESE?

Minimal damage to testicular tissue
Thanks to the special microscope used in the surgery, the removal of few tissue fragments and the effect of testes on hormone production as little as possible.
After some tissue samples are taken, live sperm cells are obtained from the tissues as you can see in the video. These cells are used in microinjection in IVF treatment and our couple can have babies in this way.

Even the sperm found by this process can be small enough to be counted by grain. On the other hand, especially in cases of azoospermia due to obstructions in the sperm passageway, a large number of sperm can be obtained. If a large number of sperm can be obtained, the remnants of the sperm used in the microinjection process can be filled and stored for possible future IVF treatments. In this way, TESE is not required again.
