IVF (ICSI) How is it done?

In vitro fertilization is a form of treatment in women who cannot conceive by conventional methods. It is based on the principle of transferring embryos to the uterus as a result of combining male (sperm) and female (egg) progeny cells under laboratory conditions.

Experienced and Powerful Team · Latest technologies · High success rates

Fertilization under laboratory conditions can be achieved either spontaneously (in vitro fertilization, IVF) or by the introduction of a single sperm (microinjection, ICSI) after leaving these cells in the same environment.

Microinjection (ICSI)

Microinjection technique is used in cases of male infertility where sperm cells cannot pass the egg membrane for any reason. It is one of the most suitable methods for men who have low sperm count and motility or have deformities in their sperm.

A single sperm cell is injected under the microscope with the help of a very fine needle into the egg obtained from the woman and fertilization is achieved.

IVF -ICSI PROGRAM IS A PROCEDURE OF 4 STAGES:
Egg Development in Ovaries
Egg Collection
Fertilization of Eggs and Embryo Development
Placement of the embryo into the uterus

Obstruction of tubes and intra-abdominal adhesions
Causes related to men
Ovulation disorder
Unexplained infertility
Other more rare causes

COMPLICATIONS FROM IN VITRO FERTILIZATION:
WOMEN:

Overexcitation of the ovaries is characterized by fluid accumulation in the abdomen and growth of the ovaries.
Bleeding and infection may develop when eggs are collected.
Infection may develop after transfer of embryos.

The MEN:

Bleeding or infection may be observed in the testis only in cases where sperm is collected from the testis.

Pregnancy:
The risk of miscarriage is higher than normal.
The risk of premature birth and stillbirth is not much higher than normal.
The risk of abnormal infant development is somewhat increased, although controversial.
Multiple pregnancy rates are higher than normal.
The development of ectopic pregnancy is more than normal.

How Much Is IVF Success?
Different rates are given in various in vitro fertilization centers considering different criteria. Some of these can be misleading. There are some factors that affect the success of each center. But to mention an average success rate:
The ratio of each IVF procedure to live birth results in:
30-35% of women under the age of 35
25% for women aged 35-37
15-20% in women between the ages of 38-40
6-10% in women over 40 years of age

Although pregnancy rates per cycle are 10-20% higher than these percentages (for example, 55-60% under 35 years of age), it is important to remember that the percentage of children that can be taken home is important.
