The Egg Retrieval Process<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The egg retrieval is a 15-minute surgical procedure. No cuts, no stitches.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The word \u201csurgery\u201d might seem scary, but the egg retrieval process is quick and essentially painless. Here\u2019s what you can expect before, during, and after the procedure.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

This means getting eggs from a female\nbody. The procedure is usually under anesthesia but does not require\nboarding. No pain is felt by the medications taken during the\nprocedure. The procedure is performed with the help of a transvaginal\nneedle and ultrasound used by the IVF doctor and the ovaries are\nreached. During the follow-up of the egg development, on the day it is\ndetermined that a sufficient number of eggs have matured, the eggs are injected\nto complete the last stage of development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Egg collection is scheduled for 36 hours\nafter this last drug injection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the collection of the\neggs, sedatives, sleeping drugs can be given or the procedure can be\nperformed under full anesthesia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The procedure is similar to vaginal\nultrasonography performed during your egg developmental follow-up. The\nonly difference is that a needle attached to the vaginal ultrasound device\npasses through the vagina and collects the eggs inside your ovaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The average duration of\nthe procedure is 30 minutes. Fertilization with sperm cells is\ncarried out on the day the eggs are collected. After 2-3 hours of\nrest after the collection of eggs , the couple is discharged\nfrom the hospital.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After this stage of in vitro fertilization, double information is given about the drugs to be used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll know the results of the egg retrieval process right away.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Before you leave the office, the team will let you know how many eggs were retrieved and moved to our embryology lab. Then, within 24 hours of your egg retrieval process, they\u2019ll call to let you know many of your eggs were ultimately frozen; typically, about 80% of eggs retrieved are deemed mature, normal, and suitable for freezing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the egg retrieval process, your eggs will be moved immediately to our lab, where they will be frozen (or cryopreserved) using a flash-freezing method called vitrification.<\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
