Ovarian Induction or Controlled Ovarian Hyperstimulation are the procedures that are performed to stimulate the ovaries with drugs and to increase egg formation in a controlled manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to increase the chances of success in IVF applications, it is necessary to increase the number of eggs normally per month in each healthy woman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Clomiphene Citrate\u00a0(Clomid)<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    An oral medication used to induce ovulation in women who do not ovulate on their own by encouraging the body to produce more\u00a0follicle\u00a0stimulate hormone (FSH). Most commonly used if a woman has irregular or long menstrual cycles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH)<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Hormone injections of FSH can be used to stimulate the number of follicles that develop in the ovary and therefore the number of eggs that are ovulated during a cycle. Another hormone\u00a0hCG\u00a0may be used in injection form to trigger ovulation once the follicles have developed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1-2 months of birth control pill (Microgynon, Desolett, Ginera, etc.) can be used during the treatment preparation period. In some patient groups, birth control pills have the effect of regulating the response of the ovaries to the ovulation medications to be used later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Various drugs are used to prevent spontaneous cracking of follicular cysts containing mature eggs in the stimulated ovaries. GnRH analogues and GnRH antagonists used for this purpose are used in combination with egg-stimulating drugs during certain periods of treatment within the rules of use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      In the meantime, follicular (eggs) that develop in the ovaries are followed by frequent ultrasonography (folliculometry) and hormonal examinations (E2 and P etc.). The doctor assesses all findings and determines the optimal time for egg collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
